Archtypes are observable patterns in human behaviour, cycles in the natural world and are templates that help us gain insight into what directs our behaviour.
Discovering our archetypes offer us a spotlight into unconscious modes of behaviour that might be sabotaging or leaking power from our goals, from our life.
This course introduces the concept of 12 dominant patterns of behaviour governing our lives and gives us an oportunity to discover our own. It’s often easier to see the patterns in someone else. He’s such a geek. She’s such a princess. She’s such a complainer (Vampire, sucking your energy).
Imagine someone who has a strong Teacher. Perhaps she is someone who lives with a Joker. Now imagine the Joker comes home every day from the office, and greets the Teacher with a joke. The Teacher sees a clown in her class, and needs to correct his behaviour. What ensues is what seems like an unavoidable argument. ‘Don’t criticise me.’ ‘Can’t you ever be serious?’

You might ask, but, why are they together? Their personalities are obviously different. Well, when they were dating, the Teacher wasn’t the strong archetype. Her Child was. Her funloving Child archtype was dating a Joker, and it was fun, and silly, and they liked each other. However, over time, as they lived together, and got to know each other better, different aspects of their characters began to surface.
Now, the Teacher discovered archtypes and she recognised the pattern, and she discovered that if she activiated her funloving Child before her partner came home, it not only saved the relationship, it illuminated aspects of her life she didn’t know she wasn’t conscious of controlling her. And, as a yoga teacher, she recognised that shining the light of awareness onto aspects of her character and life, and being able to live happier and with conscious choice was in alingement with her yoga training ideals.
Yoga is about unity. About integration and bringing heart, mind and body together. It’s about waking up to unconscious behaviour and seeing with the clear light of consciousness. The study of archetypes, along with awareness of chakras and meditation are a sure key to shining a clear light on the path of Yoga.
Sessions include contemplation, questions, group work, roleplays, guided meditation, discussion.

Session One: Introduction to Archetypes

In our first hour togther, I’ll discuss my personal relationship to archetypes and how they have facilited my growth as a person and how their awareness in my life has helped bring consciousness and the power of choice into my every day life.
We’ll be introduced to Caroline Myss, Karl Jung and David Feinstein, whose work contribute to this course.
We’ll talk through the remaining sessions and discuss any obvious patterns you’re aware of around you.

Session Two: Introduction of the Four Survival Archetypes

The course work on the four common archetypes to all of us begins. They are the Child, the Prostitute, the Victim, the Saboteur.
In each of our lives we need to learn the lessons each of these patterns of behaviour hold for us. Does your child manage your finances? Do you prostitute your ideas at work for a company you don’t believe in? Where do you feel you are a victim, where you blame everyone else, or blame yourself for everything? How often do you listen to the voice in your head that says ‘You can’t. You are not good enough. Everyone will laugh at you.’
These are all common themes in everyone’s life. It’s not personal. A freeing idea. They are just templates of power. How you react to their presence depends upon if you gain energy or you lose it. With this knowledge, you gain the power of choice.
We’ll study the Child and the Saboteur in particular.

Session Three: Study of the Prostitute and the Victim

As two of the important four, we need to spend some time looking at the power and the dynamics of these in our lives and working out how they are triggered and woken up by certain circumstances.
We’ll also have time set aside for discussing insights we’ve had since we’ve started looking at patterns of behaviour.

Session Four:

The first part of this session will be answering questions/journalling about what people have told us about our personalities, for eample ‘You’ve always got to have everything perfect’ (Perfetionist) ‘You have always tried to rescue every animal you come across.’ (Rescuer)
And then contemplating who and what we think governs our behaviour. Can you think of a moment in your childhood when an archtype was triggered into action?
Who am I?
Who do people say I am, and who do I think I am? Are there similarities? Am I rejecting an aspect of myself?
How fast do we make judgements about other people’s personalities?

Session Five: The Addict

I like to add this to the top four survival archtypes because even though you may not identify with it as one of your main archtypes it’s power affects us through family, friends and society in general. We’ll look at where it comes from, what’s the driving force behind it,what lesson you could learn from holding it in your system, and how you can overcome addiction.

Session Six: Archetypal Patterns 1

After being aware of these patterns in your life, we will have more to talk about and in the next two sessions we’ll be discussing your personal archtypal patterns.

Session Seven: Archetypal Patterns 2
Session Eight: Empowerment through Awareness.

Now that we have some idea about archtypes and we have started studying their affects upon our lives, we are ready to become more conscious and make power choices that help ourselves and those around us, rather than escaping into unconscious behaviour.
Here I’ll introduce awareness techniques and support material for further study.
If the course is popular, and we agree, there is the possibility of extending the sessions.

Inclouen natació, atletisme, dansa i condicionament físic.
Moltes gràcies a tots vostès.
He viscut a Melbourne, a Gold Coast Austràlia, a Shizuoka Japan, a Odense Dinamarca i a Hamar Noruega.
He passat quatre anys a Hamar, Noruega. He cursat cursos a través d’Espern Activity Park. Vaig ensenyar Body Balance, Mage Magikk, Power Yoga, Qigong, Pilates.
